One way Battlefield may be able to make a comeback is to improve their co-op and campaign modes. Last year, Battlefield V ‘s co-op mode was a sad, rushed mode that felt underwhelming and not prepared for release. EA also needs to capture their player’s attention with a campaign mode filled with action, but, most importantly, iconic characters. Call of Duty ‘s campaigns are always iconic, with characters like Soap Mactavish and Captain Price that gamers always remember. Call of Duty ‘s Special Ops mode is also a great example of a fun co-op m

With DICE supposedly having “crazy ambitious ideas” planned for Battlefield 6 , Wilson’s talk of unprecedented scale and the power of next-gen consoles seems fitting. These remarks accompanied the game’s release window, however, which sees the next Battlefield project lined up for a release during the 2021 Holiday season. While this may be a good bit away, having a general idea of when the next game will be releasing should be comforting for Battlefield f

Battlefield may have a hard time keeping up because of Call of Duty ‘s flexibility. Call of Duty: WW2 and Infinite Warfare are two different kinds of games, even though they’re both under the Call of Duty series. Battlefield can only change their style a little, and has to keep to realistic combat. Players like Battlefield for its detail and realism , meaning if EA goes away from that, there is a chance it could be just another total failure of a game. Nonetheless, going for possibly a more futuristic style of gameplay or something the FPS community hasn’t seen before could be what Battlefield needs to stay popu

Scale will have to increase massively as well. Pushing the technological boundaries of player counts and game size, yet still maintaining a fast-paced gameplay loop is one of the specialties of the Battlefield series. This time though, Battlefield 6 will be contending with the popularity of several battle royale games, all of which have impressive scale . At their best, Battlefield games make each player feel like just one small part in a massive conflict, barely able to shift the tide of battle on their own. Battlefield 6 will have to go above and beyond to convey that feeling bigger, better, and more beautifully than every other shooter out there. It can be done, and based on its potential, Battlefield 6 is currently the game most likely to do

Older Battlefield titles like Battlefield 3 had customization that was the closest thing to Modern Warfare ‘s Gunsmith before it existed. Gunsmith emphasizes Call of Duty ‘s desire not to compromise player preference with improper balancing. Even though there’s been a few examples of overpowered guns/class builds, out of almost 50 guns throughout the entire game, it’s crazy to think how balanced the weapon pool is with Gunsmith. Battlefield 6 would do well to observe and emulate the freedom achieved with Gunsmith’s implementat

In terms of what was specifically shown, the gameplay from DICE is very ambiguous. It’s clearly an early prototype of gameplay for the next battlefield 2042 guide|https://battlefield2042Hq.com/ game, but the assets themselves don’t appear to be any different from Battlefield 5 . It’s very possible the prototype gameplay shown was a repurposing of assets from Battlefield 5 showcasing what next-gen processing is capable of. That being said, it shows about around a hundred of what appear to be rendered models (all potentially players) moving in a single space. There also was a scene showing a building collapsing, which was more than likely showcasing a new version of Battlefield ‘s Destruction physics. Lastly, there were a few close-ups of an indistinct soldier’s face rendered in high detail, though it wasn’t clear if this was next-gen graphics rendered in-eng

Nowadays similar functionality is available in newer Battlefield games, but it feels more like an add-on than a prominent gameplay mechanic. Sure, you can still make holes in walls with your favorite explosive ordinance, but it’s generally in service to just converting a wall into a doorway. There’s no more purposeful destruction like in previous Battlefield titles . A prime example would be Bad Company 2 ‘s Arica Harbor map, which has a city section densely populated with buildings. On the second attack wave of Rush, the attacking team largely has no proper sightlines without damaging or taking down most of the buildings. The game literally encourages the attacking team to utilize destruction to open up the map more and force an advantage over the defending t

From a speculation standpoint, it’s hard to truly read between the lines here. It’s clear all of this prototype gameplay was shown at EA Play Live in service to getting fans excited by the potential technology that could go into the next Battlefield game, but there wasn’t too much shown. Considering EA Play Live premiered in June, and a new Battlefield game is planned for 2021, this footage was likely captured very early on in the game’s developm
