The big thing here, of course, is the name. Many would have presumed that the title would be Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 , as in a direct sequel to Cal Kestis’ original adventure , but that’s not the case. If the game is changing subtitles, it could be that Cal Kestis remains the protagonist, but it’s possible that he doesn’t. Names are important everywhere, but especially in the gaming industry. There’s a certain fatigue associated when a numbered game starts putting out more than a third-numbered title, but sequels and threequels pound on the success of the origi

The colon and subtitle change are incredibly reminiscent of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, which cycles through new main characters. Star Wars Jedi could, and maybe should, be just that. The question of what Jedi should replace Cal Kestis is a big one, though. It could be as big as Obi-Wan Kenobi being the main character of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor , one of the Fallen Order characters (Cere? Merrin), a character from other star wars Jedi survivor Story guide|https://jedisurvivorhub.com/ Wars media sources, or another brand new character. No matter how it approaches this, if it does, there are plenty of opti

Many of the characters featured in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order have been heavily impacted by the events of the Clone Wars and Order 66. Cere especially has had to face the major ramifications of her mistakes when she was a Jedi Knight. Her accidental abandonment of Trilla Suduri led to the creation of the Second Sister, the main antagonist of Fallen Order . While she has begun to redeem herself by helping Cal Kestis, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor may delve deeper into her backstory and guilt, which could lead to some emotional cutscenes set in the Clone Wars where players switch to Cere’s perspect

If Star Wars Jedi, then, is meant to be more of an anthological approach , the subtitle has to reflect the character and story. Survivor could arguably fit Cal Kestis, but that would be more of the past than the present. Cal is no longer cowering from the Empire, forced into hiding and trying to survive. He is looking for his next adventure. Now, if Cal isn’t the protagonist, that doesn’t mean he won’t appear in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor or somewhere else down the line, but Cal’s story may be done for

Fallen Order is more important to Star Wars canon __ now than it was at launch, with Cal Kestis being referenced in the recently released Star Wars: Brotherhood novel and elements of the game – including the Fortress Inquisitorius – set to feature in the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi TV series on Disney+. Fallen Order showed Kestis’ journey to becoming a Jedi Knight and the beginnings of his quest to restore the Jedi Order, with the ending ultimately seeing him abandon that goal for the sake of the Force-sensitives’ safety. That doesn’t rule out the possibility of Cal interacting with other Jedi, however, with Kenobi and Ahsoka Tano both active during the gap in between Episode III and Episode

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor once again sees Stig Asmussen at the helm as game director, with fan favorite Cal Kestis returning as the main character. Set five years after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order , Kestis and his droid companion BD-1 are still on the run from the Empire. The cinematic trailer helps set up the plot, with the Empire getting its hands on Cal’s lightsaber. Kestis then finds a mysterious character suspended in what appears to be a Bacta tank, which is something that Star Wars characters use to heal throughout the franch

The big Star Wars Celebration event has seen all kinds of exciting announcements and reveals, like the confirmation that The Mandalorian Season 3 will premiere in February 2023 on Disney+ . However, the latest reveal from the event should be especially exciting for gamers, as Electronic Arts, Respawn Entertainment, and Lucasfilm Games have officially announced Star Wars Jedi: Survivor , the sequel to the popular 2019 game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Ord

As the month of May slowly marches toward its end, Star Wars fans are no doubt eagerly awaiting the release of Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney Plus . There’s also Star Wars Celebration, where EA and Respawn are expected to unveil Star Wars Jedi: Surviv

Ultimately, the most likely scenario is someone far removed from Cal’s crew and other Star War s media. Just as Assassin’s Creed introduces new characters with every subtitle, it would be interesting for Star Wars Jedi to do the same. The obvious downside to this would be if the franchise focused on the Dark Times, where there are supposed to be few Jedi and yet there seem to be more survivors year after year. Survivor definitely seems to suggest that the focus on the Dark Times will continue , but nothing is stopping it from being a survivor during another time as w

The problem is that Darth Vader is much more of a background character in Jedi: Fallen Order, used to flesh out Cal’s story rather than his own. Indeed, it’s an incredibly similar trope even to Vader’s role in Star Wars Rebels . So it ultimately adds nothing new, and when Cal comes face-to-face with Vader , they know nothing serious can come out of it. Sure, Vader is intimidating, but that cannot carry his role in a story. It’s much more focused on the Inquisitors, which is fine and super interesting, but now that Cal’s on Vader’s radar, there’s no real direction it can go. Cal is not L
